Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry at Flower Mound United Methodist Church works to be a space in which any and all young people from 6^th – 12^th grade may find a place of belonging. We serve + fellowship together in order to learn more about ourselves + connect with others + God. We do this through intentional weekly gatherings as well as special one-time + seasonal activities. There is no prerequisite for joining, and we hope that you might take a chance in discovering your place in the story we write together.

Weekly Events

YOUTH SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday | 9:30-10:30 AM | 6-8 + 9-12 Grade | Youth ROOM

Join us as connect with each other + explore our faith + the Bible. Both classes start in the downstairs youth room for a time of check-in + donuts. High School 9-12 Grade meets upstairs and the Middle School 6-8 Grade meet downstairs.

SUNDAY NIGHT YOUTH/UMYF

Sunday | 5-7 PM | 6-12 Grade | Fellowship Hall
UMYF - United Methodist Youth Fellowship

On Sunday nights, we will gather for fellowship over food, games, lesson, worship, and small groups. Discussion will vary to include stories from the Bible as well as relevant teenage faith and life topics. Small groups will be divided by grade whenever possible. YOUTH CONFIRMATION

Sunday | 5-7 PM | 6 Grade

This is a special year of learning about our Christian heritage. Our weekly classes will overlap UMYF Youth Group activities on Sunday nights and will conclude May 5 with a worship celebration where students have an opportunity to join the church! There will also be special excursions and a winter retreat! Email for more information - Confirmation Registration!

YOUTH EVENTS

Seasonal

Besides our weekly events, our youth participate in many special events throughout the year. These include Sunday Night Youth Field Trips filled with fun fellowship activities, Youth Leadership opportunities of volunteer service + giving back to our church + exciting summer trips + adventures. Regular summer activities include a Youth Week filled with local mission opportunities + fellowship fun, Summer Camp at our North Texas Conference Bridgeport Camp + Conference Center, a week-long Youth Mission Trip where we travel often across state lines to serve together + serving with the children of our church at our Vacation Bible School week.
