Serve on the Care Team

Moving beyond thoughts and prayers, FMUMC's care team puts prayers into action. Whether your passion is writing cards, delivering meals to families with newborns, visiting the hospitalized and so much more, we're sure there's a place for you!

Serve on the Sunday Support Team

It takes a lot to make Sunday mornings at FMUMC run smoothly; and the Sunday Support Team is right there on the frontline. From greeting folks as they enter the building to ushering them to their seats and assisting in service, sing or play an instrument, to managing the Welcome Desk, and assisting with media and technology, join the Sunday Support Teams!

Serve In Worship

Part of the care we strive to offer our congregation is offering a warm welcome each Sunday morning. Whether the person arriving at our church doors is a first-time visitor or a long-time member, we can't know where their spirit is that day. Therefore, our Sunday Support Team works to cultivate an atmosphere of welcome and inclusion, ensuring you can let your guard down to fully participate in worship.

Sundays come every week of the year. And we can always use support in the mornings. To learn more about this ministry or to join a sub-team, please contact Pastor Meredith Scruggs.

Greeters

Greeters have one of the most important responsibilities, because they are arguably the first impression a visitor might encounter at FMUMC. Greeters help hold doors open for people and offer directions as people entire the building (to the restrooms, welcome desk, registration tables, etc.)

Ushers

In worship, this team might include passing around the offering baskets, helping direct people to receive Communion and assisting with pre-service set up.

Welcome Desk

The Welcome Desk serves as an information center for anyone and everyone to find out important information, sign up for events, trips, classes, etc.
