FMUMC CARE TEAM Ministries

Part of the Christian spiritual journey stems from the recognition that from our brokenness comes healing -- not just of ourselves but of others. In order to care for others well, we must commit to caring for ourselves. ...

If you or someone you know if going through a tough time or maybe even has something worth praising happening in their life, we'd love to pray for it. To submit a prayer request, just fill out the form at the bottom of this webpage and a member of the Care Team or a Pastor will be in touch with you ASAP.

Is caring for other people one of your Spiritual Gifts? Or perhaps is it a gift you've always wanted to explore and cultivate in your faith life? Then consider serving on the Care Team by joining a Sub-Team. You can learn more about the various teams below. You can contact the Team Leads individually or reach out to our Care Team Chairperson, Jill Welke with more questions.

At FMUMC we believe in the power of prayer. But we also believe that a robust prayer life leads to a robust faith life. Therefore, our Care and Prayer Teams are anything but passive. Below you can find details about the various Care Teams operating in our congregation.  We hope you'll notice that when a name makes it on our prayer list -- be it a joy or a concern -- we strive to surround that person with the love of God revealed in Jesus through prayers, presence, food, cards, phone calls, and so much more.
