We're Glad You're Here

Welcome to Flower Mound UMC

On your first visit to Flower Mound UMC, we want you to know that you belong here.  Just as Jesus invited sinners and saints to the table to dine, so do we welcome all people as beloved of God.

If your first visit is on a Sunday morning, our main hope is that you can worship God in the fullness of all that you are, to experience the fullness of God’s presence.  Whether in our 9:00 contemporary service or our 11:00 traditional service, we invite you to come before God with your whole presence – to sing, hear the Word, pray and listen to God’s revelation for your life.  On the first Sunday of the month we welcome everyone to the Lord’s Supper, an experience of remembering the last meal of Jesus that empowers us to follow in the ways of our Lord and Savior every day.  You do not need to be a member of the church, or even baptized in the faith, because ALL are invited to this meal.

  • When you arrive visit our welcome desk to check-in and receive a name tag. Masks and social distancing measures are required.
  • Our sanctuary is located in the southernmost lot closest to the Flower Mound water tower. We invite you to park closest to this location to attend worship.
  • Feel free to dress however you like, we just want you to feel comfortable!
  • Our nursery is available for infants thru age 5 by reservation online.
  • We invite you to visit our welcome desk to the right of the entrance for more information or questions you may have.
  • We have a family room available for nursing mothers or busy toddlers where parents can watch and listen in privacy and accessibility to a private bathroom facility.
  • Our hospitality worship team is available to ensure your comfort, so please let us know any ways we can be of assistance.
We care for our neighbor with a wholly love, which means that we are following safe social distancing practices and wearing masks to protect all ages in this pandemic. If you are attending worship with a child under the age of 5, they do not need to wear a mask.  We also have nursery available by reservation or our Family room for children needing a more active space.  Our worship spaces are cleaned by our hospitality team in between services to ensure you and your family’s safety. In addition, we reduce the touch points of worship, while still ensuring comfort and convenience.  If you have not pre-registered for worship, please visit our hospitality table to sign in and get your name tag or ask any questions you might have for weekday connection.  During worship, we invite you to sit with your family in the areas designated with 8 foot distancing.  Our revised worship experience offers in person and online options, and pastors will greet you outside.

Step One: Worship With US

Historically, Flower Mound UMC offers two worship styles, in order to best help you connect with the Divine, a traditional service and a contemporary service.

Due to COVID-19 we have adapted our services to provide the safest worship environment possible and which best suits the various needs of our congregation.

Sunday 9:00a | Contemporary Service (live-streamed AND in-person)

Sunday 11:00a | Traditional Service (live-streamed AND in-person)

Whether in the form of an ongoing Sunday School Classes, short-term/long-term Bible studies or more, we strive to offer balanced diet of Christian education opportunities to learn, Connection Groups to develop, and community groups to fellowship. All this is assist you finding a faith community where you belong, but are also being brave in your faith.

Step Three: Meet a Pastor or Sign Up for Starting POint

It's not only likely you have questions about us, but we'd also love to get to know you more as well. Currently, FMUMC's pastors are meeting with folks individually either over the phone, over Zoom, or over coffee in a safe, socially distanced environment. Prefer a group setting? Consider our Starting Point class, which is held three times a year. In this class, you'll not only learn about the core tenets of our faith and theology, but also how we strive to live those out in our various ministries.

Step Four: Live out your Faith

Flower Mound UMC is highly involved in our local community. We partner with a variety of organizations ranging from those who work with people experiencing homeless/houseless, food scarcity, to organizations supporting children in tough family situations, to more blood-drives, and street clean up days. Whether weekly, monthly, or annually, we have mission opportunities for you to serve your community.
