Conner McMains
Director of Music Ministries
I am a native of Little Rock, AR, and I’ve been playing the piano since I was seven years old. I began accompanying masses at the age of 12, and at 17, I accepted my first position as Director of Music and Organist. Throughout high school and college, I had the privilege of directing music at several Methodist, Presbyterian, and Catholic churches across Arkansas.
I earned my Bachelor's of Arts in Vocal Performance from Hendrix College in 2012, and then moved to Arlington, TX with my wife, Catherine. While in Texas, I served as the Associate Director of Worship & Music at New World United Methodist Church. In 2017, I earned a Master of Music degree in Orchestral Conducting with Maestro David Itkin at the University of North Texas. In 2018, I began my term as Director of Music at St. Monica Catholic Church in Dallas, where I directed the Adult Choir, supervised and led all music within the parish, managed a large music department staff, and coordinated the annual Fine Arts Series.
I’m fortunate to be a sought-after collaborator in many areas, including as an arranger/composer, vocalist, organist, accompanist, and guest choral director/clinician. I am an active member of several musical organizations and have recently served as President of the Dallas Chapter of Choristers Guild, as a participant and director of national committees within the American Guild of Organists, and as Dean of the Dallas Chapter of the AGO. Currently, I serve as a Collaborative Pianist for UTA's University Singers, Placement Director for the Dallas Chapter of the AGO, Volunteer Coordinator for the AGO 2025 Fort Worth Convention, and President of the Board of Directors for the Fort Worth Chorale.
