Children's Ministry Coordinator

I’m an Army Brat, having grown up across the Southeast and spending three years in Germany. I attended Tennessee Technological University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in finance. After a short stint in the financial world, I met my husband, Bryce Mays, through family connections with the Army. Together, we’ve traveled all over the eastern half of the United States, raising our three wonderful children—Shelby, Caleb, and Nathan. We also share our home with three beloved dogs: Ellie, Izzy, and Smokey.

Throughout my husband’s military assignments, our family has been a part of various United Methodist churches. In 2018, we moved to Flower Mound, TX, and quickly found a church home at Flower Mound UMC. Over the past 20 years, I have worked in Children’s Ministry, and I’ve found that I feel most at home working with children, teaching them about the love of Jesus Christ. My focus is on sharing examples of how He loves us and shows us how to love others. I’m passionate about inspiring children to serve others by following Jesus and growing in their faith as they develop a deeper understanding of their spirituality.
