Chris Czechowski
Contemporary Worship Leader
I grew up in Plano in a very musical household, surrounded by my mother’s love of folk music and choral singing on one side and my father’s love of blues on the other. After being very involved in school choir and orchestra through high school, I went to the University of North Texas majoring in Music Education with a choral concentration which was completed in 2006. During my time at UNT, I was a member of the UNT A Cappella Choir and UNT Jazz Singers, but the majority of my time was spent at the student United Methodist Center on campus known as the Denton Wesley Foundation, singing in the choir there as well as leading worship with the Chi Rho band. Since then, I’ve been a part of several successful UMC new church starts in the area including Cross Way UMC and Christ UMC – Princeton serving as their worship leader until I came here to FMUMC on Palm Sunday of 2016. When I’m not spending my time working my normal 8 to 5 job as a Senior Debt Resolution Advisor or engrossed in music and worship, I like to spend my time playing board games and soccer with friends, relaxing with a video game, or spending quality time with my wife, Cortni and my two huskies that think they’re human, Ace & Bear.
