ABOUT THE FINANCE COMMITTEE
The Finance Committee manages the financial matters of the church, which includes the annual audit and compilation of the various budget requests to form a proposed budget. The Finance Committee counts, deposits, and records all gifts to the church as well as sends quarterly reports to individual church members regarding their giving to the church. This committee stays informed on the financial strength of the church and makes statements to the Church Council at its regular meetings. After the annual campaign to underwrite the budget, the Finance Committee makes recommendations to the Church Council regarding the new year’s budget.
- The Church Treasurer supervises the financial transactions of the church and works with the Finance Chair to provide accurate and timely financial information to the Church Council.
- The Audit Team accomplishes annual audits of our financial records for proper and accurate accounting.
- The Counters Team counts and prepares for deposit our weekly offering.
